Thank you for your participation in this weekend's Regional meet,
we have received many complements from our visiting teams and
the
ISI
staff on a well run meet.

18 new Championship cuts were attained by Fox swimmers at the
regional meet-good luck at Senior Champs next weekend and Age Group
Champs the following weekend!
Fox Valley Swim Team would like to congratulate the
Neuqua
Valley High School Boys swim team and Coach Chad Allen on their
second place victory in the
IHSA
State Championship this weekend. All of the NVHS state team
participants are Fox swimmers, also making their state teams from
Fox are Adam Stacklin with Waubonsie Valley High School and Michael
Stack from Metea Valley High School.
Here is a summary of the excitement from Coach
Allen.
Congrats
to the boys on an outstanding state meet. We finished 2nd in
the best and closest state meet in the history of
Illinois
swimming. It came down to 3 teams with a chance to win the
meet on the final race. Our 400 Free relay swam the race of
their life and finished 2nd place to help beat
New Trier
and fell just short to
Naperville
Central. A special congratulation to our 200 Medley Relay on
being state champions: Grant
Betulius
, Kevin
Cordes
,
Brien
Gerber, and Andrew
Bratsos
.
Thanks to our seniors on the state team for leading the way.
Hans Peters finished
4th
in both of his events and
Brien
Gerber finished
10th
and
12th
in his two events. Andrew Quinn did a great job as a leader
and Grant
Betulius
was a state champion in the 100
Backstroke--congrats
on being our
5th
ever state champion in an individual
event.

Swimming is pleased to announce the roster of athletes and staff
members selected for the 2009 National Select Camp to be held in
Colorado Springs October 29-November 1, 2009. Coach Dave
Krotiak has been selected as a men’s assistant coach and
senior swimmer Kevin Cordes has been select as an
athlete. Thirty women and thirty-one men from across the
country have been selected to attend this prestigious
camp.

swimmers bag for anything that does not belong to them and return
the items to the lost and found bin in the storage
room.
